        Two representatives from Kyushu HiIGHTEC Japan visited Taiwan starting from January 7, 2024, to meet with officials from Chong Wai Medical Instruments Co., Ltd. The visit took seven days and focused on crucial topics such as the signing of confidentiality agreements, exclusive agency rights, educational training for earth material construction, glass construction, and vehicle construction.

       One of the innovative products introduced by Kyushu HIGHTEC is FINE COAT, a floor maintenance coating system. Its distinctive feature lies in the formation of a thin glass film on the surface, providing a long-lasting, high-quality, and glossy maintenance effect. Compared to conventional resin coatings, its main components are similar to glass, offering high hardness, exceptional gloss, and excellent slip resistance.

       Additionally, FINE COAT exhibits outstanding characteristics such as water resistance, oil resistance, acid resistance, and alkali resistance. One of the significant advantages of FINE COAT is its ability to maintain the beauty and cleanliness of the floor at all times, resisting various stains and being easy to clean even if they occur. Due to its properties, there is no need for stripping during construction, and it does not generate waste liquid, meeting environmental requirements. FINE COAT holds multiple patents in Japan.

      The second product is FC Inorganic Glass Coating, addressing the global warming issue with a solution. Kyushu HIGHTEC advocates the concept of "Energy-saving, Decarbonized Society Starting from Windows · Preventing Global Warming."  They promote the use of coating agents to transform window glass, especially targeting glass windows that do not meet energy-saving standards (constituting 90% of domestic buildings in Japan).

      FC Inorganic Glass Coating can be applied using a roller. During the summer, it prevents excessive sunlight and ultraviolet rays, while in winter, it prevents heat loss. This coating is not only cost-effective but also exhibits durability exceeding that of heat-insulating films by more than twice. Through experiments, rooms with FC Inorganic Glass Coating showed a temperature reduction of 3.6°C compared to rooms without coating, leading to a 28% reduction in annual air conditioning costs. In a Vancouver elementary school experiment in Canada, the average air conditioning cost decreased by 16%, resulting in annual savings of approximately 5,472 Canadian dollars (about 474,200 Japanese yen). This makes the installation cost recoverable within 1.97 years (within 2 years).

      Kyushu HIGHTEC third innovative product is the 'Vehicle Exterior Coating System.' This coating, characterized by a glass-based formula, maintains a high gloss for an extended period after application and boasts excellent resistance to dirt and ease of cleaning. For vehicles that do not undergo regular maintenance, this coating prevents dirt from adhering to the car body, effectively preserving the vehicle's exterior appearance. Additionally, compared to typical cleaning processes that involve the use of acidic detergents and are time-consuming, the Vehicle Exterior Coating System forms a high-hardness film after washing, enabling the long-term retention of a high gloss for around 10 years. Simultaneously, it prevents various contaminants from infiltrating, simplifying daily cleaning tasks.

      In October 2020, Japan Railways Kyushu Line trains had their external parts coated, and after a three-month cleaning test, the results confirmed that stains could be easily removed with just water.

      Similarly, in November 2020, East Japan Railway Company (JR East) Line trains, specifically the Kuha E720-24 regular line, had their exterior panels painted. Subsequently, machine cleaning was reduced to every 4-5 days, manual washing decreased from twice a year to once a year, and iron particle removal decreased from every 3.3 times in 10 years to once. The detergent cost for over 10 years reduced from 11.21 million yen to 3.2 million yen, and there was a reduction of 2-3 personnel annually.

      In September 2022, West Japan Railway Company (JR West) buses took a full-body exterior coating, significantly reducing raindrops and dirt on the vehicle. Among several manufacturers conducting demonstration projects, the product received the highest ratings for durability and resistance to dirt.

      In September 2023, Hanshin Electric Railway and Hankyu Corp trains on the regular line, specifically car No. 5808, took exterior coating, resulting in a noticeable reduction in iron particle stains. Follow-up tracking for the project is scheduled for December.

    In several real-world applications, including JR Kyushu Line trains, JR East Japan Line trains, and West Japan Railway Company (JR West) buses, outstanding results have been achieved. During this visit, Japanese representatives provided professional technicians for on-site demonstrations to CHONG WAI. They trained members of Floor Department and demonstrated the application of FINE COAT on the third-floor floor of CHONG WAI BUILDING and a sample ward at Hualien Tzu Chi Hospital. Additionally, they showcased the application of the glass coating and, on the day before departing Taiwan, conducted a demonstration of the Vehicle Exterior Coating System using a CHONG WAI truck.

      The training provided by the Japanese delegation for the exclusive agency in Taiwan was indeed thorough and well-executed. With a grateful heart, the colleagues at CHONG WAI bid farewell to the two representatives from Kyushu HIGHTEC as they returned to Japan.
